Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China announced the results of the major project review for the year 2024. The project titled "Integrated Neurobiological Network Modeling and Application Research: Merging Extracellular Space Structure and Function of Brain Cells," led by Professor Han Hongbin from the Radiology Department at Peking University Third Hospital, has received funding.

Professor Han Hongbin's multidisciplinary research team, with a rich 30-year history in the realm of cutting-edge medical imaging technology, has secured this significant project from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The project closely focuses on a series of bottleneck problems in the treatment of major brain diseases such as stroke and Alzheimer's Disease (AD). Leveraging their pioneering detection technology, which unveiled a novel partition system within the brain's extracellular space, the team is pioneering a groundbreaking three-chamber neurobiological network model that integrates crucial extracellular space data. The project aims to explore and establish new theories and methods for neural regulation and brain disease treatment.
